Integration with viber

At the moment, the rules for creating Public Accounts have changed.
Creating a public is available only for Viber partner companies: representatives of large businesses and organizations (government organizations, banks, international brands), as well as for public figures.

Thanks to our service, you can receive messages from your public Viber account directly to our chat – operator application. You no longer need additional applications and links, work in one service.

Log in to your personal online chat area and click on “Online chat” on the left, then select your website. In the column that appears, click “Messengers”, select the “Viber” tab at the top.

In order to connect the integration, you need to create a public Viber account.

STEP 1
Fill out the Viber form at the link http://www.viber.com/en/public-accounts

STEP 2
Note! First of all, make sure that you have the latest version of Viber installed on the phone to which the account will be connected, otherwise the application will be rejected.

Specify the username to which the account will be connected

Specify the phone number to which the public account will be linked (Viber will receive notifications for this number about the status of the application for a public account)

Enter your account email

Select a country for it, check the box to accept the terms, click Send

STEP 3
After sending to the Viber app on your phone, you will receive a notification that the account has been successfully created.

STEP 4
After receiving this notification, restart the Viber application on your phone, to do this, click the “Exit” button, and then go to the public account settings.

Now you see the private chat icon in Viber, click on it and start setting up a public account.

Note! To create a public account, you will need to fill in information about yourself in your personal Viber account – name and photo.

STEP 6
Let’s start registration.

Enter the required data to register an account, please note that by the name of the public account, users will be able to find you in Viber.

STEP 7
After creating a public account, click on the “For Developers” section.

STEP 8
Click Copy and Open.

STEP 9
Add the copied code in the personal account of the Suo.Chat application in the “Integration” section.

STEP 10
In order for your account to be visible to users, click “Show”.

STEP 11
Note! Your account will only appear in the search if you get at least 6 followers. You can also place a link to Viber on your website, it should lead to the following address – viber://pa?chatURI=TEXT, where TEXT is the name of your Viber account.

By clicking on such a link, the visitor will open the Viber application, if it is installed on a PC or phone.
