Setting up a promotion + SMS coupon

In this article, we will solve the following problem:

You want to run a promotion, during which customers must fill out a certain form on the site, receive a unique promo code via SMS, and use this code to receive a gift/discount/service in your establishment. The code must be unique and used only once.

Let’s specify the task:

Restaurant “Kolobok” on its website places a subscription form, by filling out which the client receives a promotional code. By presenting this code to the waiter at the Kolobok restaurant, the client receives a branded mug as a gift.

The solution will include the use of two services: an online consultant for the Suo.Chat website and an SMS mailing service.

 

Step 1

In your personal account, in the “Contacts” section, we will create a new group for subscribers, let’s call it, for example, “A mug as a gift”, by the name of our promotion (you can indicate the date of the promotion or its name in the name to make it easy to find this group among others in the future).

 

Step 2

Next, go to the “Send SMS” section and select the service “SMS Coupon” in the left menu. To create a new promotion, click “Create promotion”. Let’s set the promotion settings – name, expiration date, etc.

For example, our action will be called “Mug as a gift”.

Let’s write an instruction for the manager “Issue a branded mug to the bearer of the SMS Coupon”. This text will be visible only to your managers – those who give out prizes.

Next, we will set the text of the SMS message for your customers. Using the “Substitute” function, we will insert a call by name, such texts have a high conversion:

“[Dear] [i], Your promo code [code]. Show it to the waiter at the Kolobok restaurant and get a branded mug as a gift!”

A real SMS message with parameter substitution will look like this:  “Dear Ivan, your promo code is 698046. Show it to the waiter at the Kolobok restaurant and get a branded mug as a gift!”

You can also set up additional SMS notifications, for example, use the following text: “In 3 days, the promotion“ Mug as a gift ”will end! Hurry up to get your prize at the Kolobok Restaurant! An SMS message will be sent at the time you specified, for example, 3 days before the end of the promotion.

Check all the settings and save the action.

Activate the promotion using the “Enable promotion” button.

At this step we already have:

  1. A special group in the phone book for saving contacts
  2. Customized promotion

Go to the last step.

 

Step 3

Let’s go to the section “Online chat – <your site> — Useful options — Subscription form» and create a subscription form. You can read more about the subscription form in the article “Subscription form. Call request form”.

Choose “+Add Subscription Form”.  Here  set the required fields, in our case these are “Name” and “Phone number”, select the previously created group “Mug as a gift” for saving contacts, assign a notification for managers, and, most importantly, select the “Answer  SMS with coupon “Mug as a gift” upon successful subscription”.

Everything! This completes the setup, all you have to do is place the code on the site in the right place and the promotion will begin.
